Where most of the Los Angeles real estate market is dominated by homes, Century City is a destination for high-rise living. Luxury apartment buildings give this neighborhood an urban feel, while always keeping it very Californian and low-key. It balances the best of the Westside lifestyle while staying closely connected to the rest of Los Angeles.FIND AN AGENT
Century City is home to the Annenberg Space for Photography, a preeminent Los Angeles museum wholly dedicated to the work of photographers. The museum mounts several exhibitions each year, each with live programming, lectures and concerts. Century City buzzes during lunch hours and in the evening, when offices empty out for the day. There are many popular happy hours and the Westfield mall, undergoing a massive transformation is also a big neighborhood draw.
Century City is predominantly a commuter neighborhood — every weekday, people pour into the office buildings of the Creative Artists Agency, Ernst & Young, and other major firms. As a result, weeknights and weekends are quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood is centrally located in Los Angeles,
very close to the major arteries of Olympic Boulevard and the 10 Freeway. But there are many reasons to stay local, like Hinoki & The Bird and free summer concerts at the Annenberg Space For Photography.
There are just two schools in Century City proper: Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles and a preschool and kindergarten at Temple Isaiah. However, Beverly Hills High School is adjacent to the neighborhood and the schools in Westwood, Beverly Hills, Cheviot Hills/Rancho Park and Beverlywood are close by.
The real estate market in Century City is relatively quiet for a Westside neighborhood. Home values are up just a bit in 2016, just about 3 percent over 2015—the median home value is about $1 million.
The majority of homes in Century City are apartments, penthouses and townhomes. Single-family homes are in the surrounding neighborhoods of Cheviot Hills and Rancho Park, Westwood and Beverlywood.
